Step 1
Start using a grade 2 clipper from the base of the hairline to roughly two inches above the ears. Ensure you are coming off the head and keeping your clipper work square.
Step 2
Using your mini trimmer produce a guideline around the head, starting from the temple area to the Occipital bone.  Once completed symmetrically on both sides, remove all excess hair from below the guideline using your mini trimmer.
Step 3
Set your clippers to grade 0.5 and add a second guideline, half an inch above your 0 line. Once completed, set your clippers to a grade 0.25 (0 if required) and connect the 0 and 0.5 lines together using small and quick strokes to fade out the mini trimmer 0 line.
Step 4
Exercising the same method by clippering a grade 1, ½ an inch above your 0.5 line. Set your clippers to a grade 0.75 by using a half guard attachment and keeping your clippers open to blend the 0.5 and 1 together to further progress your skin fade.
Step 5
Finally, use a grade 1.5 to connect your 1 and starting 2. This will also help smoothen out your fade. Once completed, check for any imperfections and touch up using your clippers accordingly.
Step 6
Spray the hair with the Pall Mall Barbers Sea Salt Spray and using a round brush dry the hair towards the direction which suits your client. The Sea Salt Spray helps to add volume and body.
Step 7
Finish the style with a small amount of the Pall Mall Barbers Pliable Clay. This helps to hold the shape and give a natural looking, matte finish.
