The Fellowship for British Hairdressing keeps community spirits high

April 30, 2020

The Fellowship for British Hairdressing has launched a motivational video, aimed at keeping members inspired and connected.

Throughout the Covid-19 crisis, the Fellowship for British Hairdressing has been keeping its members close through #THEKNOWLEDGE – its series of weekly broadcasts sharing insight, inspiration, updates and education and now it has created an inspirational video featuring more than 40 members, reassuring the industry that the Fellowship is here for support, guidance and a good old-fashioned morale boost.

Filmed from homes across the country, the ‘We Are The Fellowship’ video shares the feelings of uncertainty, anxiety and stress being felt by hairdressers, salon owners and freelancers across the country – but reminds members that together as a community, we can come back stronger than ever.

Fellowship President, Ken Picton, says: “We’ve been working hard behind the scenes for the last six weeks on content to keep our community of hairdressers inspired. We’ve had some amazing interviews with incredible hairdressers, and we want to thank every member and hairdresser who has come together to inspire us to create. We wanted to give something back that reflects who we are as hairdressers.”

Simon Shaw, Fellowship Chairperson adds: “Working on #THEKNOWLEDGE and this video project has been a sanity saver. Since our inception in 1946, we’ve always been about bringing hairdressers together from this country and around the globe, and this video encapsulates that; all of us coming together for one shared cause.”
