Team Ken Picton have been on the road for much of 2019, bringing their own brand of education to India, China, Serbia and more!
As one of the biggest names in British hairdressing, Ken Picton has spent much of the last 12 months representing the industry on stage both at home and abroad. He’s not been alone either, with his salon team also heading out into the world to showcase their own brand of hairdressing education and creativity.
The year started for team Ken Picton in Australia, where the Artistic Team shot two collections with acclaimed photographer Andrew O’Toole.
Next, it was off to Paris for Colour Director, Paul Dennison, where he taught the latest colour trends at the 110th L’Oreal World Colour Trophy final. His impressive insight was brought to the global stage, as he shared his predictions with an international audience.
Paul’s travels didn’t end there, with a trip to Zurich in May. Joined by Ken Picton Artistic Director, Zoe Williams, the trip saw the talented duo showcasing dynamic cuts and colours for the Swiss audience.
Zoe and Paul headed to India next, where they taught “La French” balayage techniques in Mumbai and Chennai on behalf of L’Oreal Professionnel. This is the fourth year in a row that the team have been invited to India with L’Oreal.
Paul’s balayage brilliance then took him to Dublin, for more colour education, before a final trip a little further afield – to Belgrade in Serbia, for a final freehand colour course to round out 2019.
Ken rounded out the year with a trip to Xiamen in China, where he represented the Fellowship for British Hairdressing at the World Hair Congress.
Presenting on stage in front of thousands of international hairdressers, Ken promoted both the Fellowship and British hairdressing on a grand scale – and secured a trip to the 2020 Congress for the new F.A.M.E. Team in the process!
