Is your salon still owed financial compensation through COVID-19 Business Interruption Insurance?

March 29, 2023

The Hair & Barber Council has announced an extension of the Salon Gold COVID-19 Business Interruption Insurance.

Due to an overwhelming demand, the deadline for salons to appeal for financial compensation has now been extended to 20th April 2023. If you had Salon Gold Business Interruption insurance during the first lockdown, now is your final opportunity to join arbitration.

The Council is urging any salon owners who held Salon Gold policies on 23rd March 2020 to contact RLK Solicitors immediately. As you may be aware, RLK Solicitors have been supporting salon owners seeking to recover their financial losses from the results of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic. Due to recent positive developments with Business Interruption Insurance Claims, the deadline has been successfully extended.

What do I need to do?

Email or WhatsApp your insurance schedule with Salon Gold from 2020 to:
lucy@rlksolicitors.com / 07596 288390

Is there a deadline?

Yes, there is a deadline by which Salon Gold policyholders can no longer be included in the Arbitration. Please instruct RLK Solicitors without delay and by no later than 20th April 2023.

Will it cost me?

If RLK Solicitors agree to act for you on a ‘no win no fee’ basis, then there is no cost for you if you lose. If you are successful, then RLK Solicitors are entitled to take a percentage of any pay-out recovered on your behalf. In any case, RLK Solicitors will seek to recover any legal costs from the insurance company.
