F&M keep up the community spirit

July 02, 2020

With the new normal set to resume for hairdressing salons up and down the United Kingdom, Barrhead’s F&M Hairdressing are using the last remaining days before reopening to keep the community spirit well and truly alive, and hope to do so on an on-going  basis.

Salon Directors Brian MacMillan and Kevin Paul Finnell  are big supporters of their local community and have used lockdown as a way to give back to their clients, local  businesses and residents, by delivering essential goods along with hair products and other items that were in high demand during the first few weeks of the current pandemic.

Realising the importance of these products to those in need or those who are extremely vulnerable, Brian along with Kevin and team member Angela joined volunteers at Include Me 2 Club, a charitable organisation in East Renfrewshire that delivers meals and essential items to those who are either vulnerable or shielding.

Brian explains, “Joining our fellow volunteers and giving something back to those that needed extra support during this pandemic was fantastic to be a part of. Our local community has been extremely loyal and supportive to us over the years and it was important to us to give something back and show them we are there for each other when times are hard.”

Kevin continues, “The Include Me 2 organisation not only delivers home cooked, nutritional meals, it gives those in need something to look forward to whether it’s the meal or just a friendly face delivering. It’s a great initiative that we are delighted to support .”

The team from F&M Hairdressing along with their clients are supporting Include Me 2 and would ask that those who wish to do so can make a donation by visiting https://www.facebook.com/donate/563667160986310/
