Siobhan, who is the current Colour Technician of the Year, spent the day with the team teaching them all about colour. Team members Alex Cook, Darrel Taylor, Jessica Hau and Lydia Wolfe were at the London’ Academy to learn some of the techniques from Siobhan’s winning collection. And not only that, London Hairdresser of the Year Daniele de Angelis also joined them to talk about the cuts and styling, from the collection they worked on together.
Alex Cook said: “Bearing in mind I don’t do creative colour in the salon and I’m not the most confident in colour I thoroughly enjoyed the day. I felt super privileged to have met Siobhan and all the other incredible team at TONI&GUY. I was totally mesmerised by the whole academy. Siobhan was so welcoming and kept us engaged the whole day, learning about colour placement, colour formulas, techniques, photoshoots, the inspiration behind her collections and telling us about her journey in hairdressing which was very inspirational. Plus, the tour into the styling archive from all the iconic shoots was INSANE! Such a cool day!”
Lydia Wolfe commented: “Siobhan is so warm and humble about her incredible talent and achievements and went all out to give us a fast-paced engaging day of inspiration. Not only did she give us a hands-on insight into her world of colour, but we were invited into an insight of the TONI&GUY creative team’s CO-LAB collection. From concept to model choice, to technical journey and best of all, we got to tour the styling archive and see all the incredible garments from iconic shoots throughout the years. Best. Day. Ever.”
Jessica Hau enthused: “The day spent with Siobhan was mind blowing. Siobhan’s vibe was so electric it’s infectious. I loved how interested and fun Siobhan was, she was open and willing to share every detail. I want to go back again, again and again!”
Darrel Starkey concluded: “The day with Siobhan was incredible. The in-depth knowledge she provided and insight into how she works with colour blew my mind. I’m more excited about colour than ever before and can’t wait to create some mazing looks when I go back to the salon.”
