With an aim of giving back to the industry through supporting the future generation of hairdressers, Carolyn’s first stop is the Elaje Hair and Beauty Salon in Cambridge.
12th June 2023 with Annabel and Chloe from Elaje Hair & Beauty
Session 2 – Create
The purpose of this class was to challenge the girls’ creativity. We focused on introducing the optimum look to models or clients through current salon trends and how to achieve success with client expectations. We also looked at different inspirations, and how these can be channelled into being creative.
I started the day by reviewing how the last training session had impacted the girls’ working week and was delighted to find that they both have put the techniques and consultation style into use on their clients. We then proceeded to have another fantastic training day:
Chloe created a multi-toned look using a pivot technique, working with the copper, blonde and red shades.
“I really enjoyed creating this unique look and being creative through using the new techniques that I learnt from Carolyn.” – Chloe Morgan
Annabel used a halo technique where she applied a more natural base colour, before taking large segments to layer up different copper and gold tones. She also learnt how to apply and style curly hair products, creating excellent curl definition for her client.
“I had a fabulous day working with Carolyn! I really enjoyed learning the new sectioning patterns, and how to use panels of different copper tones to show creativity in such a fun way.” – Annabel Deans
Next date – Monday 14th August
Session 3 – Consistency
To be a successful hairdresser you need to be consistent with your craft and communication skills. In this final session at Elaje Hair & Beauty, we will look at the A-Z of the client experience. The girls will learn how to translate these consistent skills to ensure their clients return again and again.
