The winners of the Wella Professionals competition for hairdressing students, XPOSURE, have been announced following the XPOSURE 2019 UK final that took place at the Wella World London Studio on 3rd June.
The competition started with hundreds of photographic entries, showcasing the competitors’ hairdressing skills to create the best commercial cut and colour look. The winners of this stage then went on to the XPOSURE 2019 Regional Heats, which took place around the UK including competitors from Ireland, and features an inspiring hair show from the Joseph Ferraro Art Team.
A total of 32 finalists then competed at the Final held at the Wella World Studio in London, where they were required to style their model at the studio to be paraded in front of the esteemed judges – Nicky Clarke, Jordanna Cobella and Angelo Vallillo. Finalists were supported on the day by an audience of college lecturers and salon managers and treated to inspirational demos and hair shows from Medusa and Wella’s GenerationNow team plus presentations on Wella’s eEducation platform and 2019 trends.

All Gold, Silver and Bronze award winners have won a bespoke tailor-made mentoring day with XPOSURE 2019 Mentors Angelo Vallillo from DNA Art Space and Peter Mellon from Medusa.
In addition, Gold award winners will embark on an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at the TrendVision Award 2019 UK & Ireland Final, £1000 tailor-made education programme for their personal development, (including expert advice on how to maximise their creative potential), a hairdressing tool kit worth £500 and a Wella Professionals XPOSURE trophy. Silver and Bronze winners also won Wella tailor-made education programmes, tool kits and trophies.
