Professional Hairdresser magazine is delighted to be working in partnership with The Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards (The SHABAs) – as their media partner for this year.
The SHABAs, the biggest and best recognised industry competition in Scotland, will see winners revealed, at a Gala Event held in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Hotel on Sunday the 11th September 2022.
With over 400 salon entries for this year’s event and over 50,000 votes collected from the general public – the finalists have now been identified and with their work being sent to a panel of expert judges, for final evaluation. This year’s judges include Karine Jackson, Errol Douglas MBE, Adam Sloan MHFed, Rick Roberts, Simon Shaw, Suzie McGill, Chris Christoforou, and Gill Baird, some of the most well respected names in the industry.

I have attended all the major award events in London and nothing compares to the SHABAs. I have been lucky enough to attend the SHABAs for years and it is the ‘must be at event’. The glitz, glamour and atmosphere is unique from meal to the awards right through to the after-show party. Joanne Reid has set a benchmark for other events to try to achieve.
