What’s the reason you fell in love with hairdressing?
The sheer limitlessness of it! Hairdressing isn’t just a job, it’s like a passport to endless possibilities. You can travel the world, educate, build a brand, work on fashion weeks, own a business… the list goes on. No two days are ever the same and, honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.
What’s the most treasured item in your kitbag?
My ghd soft bristle brush with my name engraved on it. It was one of the first things I ever got sent, and it’s been with me through so many incredible moments in my career. It really reminds me of how far I’ve come.
What’s the most memorable moment in your career so far?
Too many to choose from! Opening my first salon was huge, especially the build-up. My dad did the fit-out, and my family was there every step of the way, which made it so special. Then there was Coachella with ghd, and my Silly Little Girls podcast launch with Mel C. Each moment was a different ‘pinch me’ milestone.
What’s your go-to hair product right now?
I can’t pick just one! My top three: ghd Chronos Max, Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil and Authentic Beauty Concept Cosmic Blowdry Jelly. Together, they’re the dream team!
What’s the favourite look you have created?
I recently did my friend Tanya Burr’s hair, and we switched from the bright-rooted blonde we’ve been doing for years to a softer, more lived-in rooted blonde. She absolutely loved it and, honestly, that’s what it’s all about – making people feel amazing when they walk out of the salon.
What’s your top binge-watch recommendation?
Yellowstone. I live for the drama, and my dad keeps calling me Beth Dutton, which I’m choosing to take as a compliment (even if he doesn’t mean it that way!) as she is a bad ass icon.
What’s your go-to takeaway order?
Pizza. Always. Specifically, Pizza Express Pollo Ad Astra with no onions and extra hot green peppers. It’s actually an obsession – nothing else compares!
What’s the last thing you bought?
A house! (casual, I know). I just moved, and it’s a full renovation project. There’s an original 60s pink bathroom suite that’s just got to go, so my bank account is in recovery mode. Let’s just say I won’t be making any impulse purchases for a very long time!
What’s your drink of choice at the bar?
A classic margarita on the rocks with salt – no fuss, no frills, just the perfect cocktail. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
What’s your go-to karaoke song?
This is so exposing, but I can do most Eminem songs without looking at the lyrics (not sure why, I wouldn’t even say I’m his biggest fan!). Or, if we’re going full country vibes, anything by Chris Stapleton or Dolly Parton, because I am a country music fan through and through!
