“Volume, shape and texture combine within this collection to create a result that is 1970s-inspired, but with a contemporary, rebellious attitude. The solid outline of the hair is offset by an internal softness that looks multi-dimensional and the pulled-down fringe prevents the overall shape feeling too rigid or contrived. Inspired by 90s graphic art and streetstyle, the statement colour work of this collection was achieved by creating stripes through the hair, layering them over each other, then using the fingers to gently prize open areas of the wefts. The result is almost digital in effect, with a fluid movement that complements the natural flow of the style.”
