Leicester hairdresser thanks NHS workers with rainbow windows

April 16, 2020

To wave a flag of support to NHS workers across Leicestershire, Barrie Stephen Hair has commissioned the installation of vibrant rainbows on both his Leicester city centre and Anstey salon windows.

The two salons are in close proximity to the Leicester Royal Infirmary and the Leicester General Hospital and welcome many clients who work for the NHS.

Having previously taken part in visits to offer hair care for cancer patients, Barrie wanted to show his support to the local hospitals at this unprecedented time.

As well as the rainbow window displays, which publicly share the businesses’ appreciation for frontline healthcare workers, the salon group is also offering £20 vouchers for NHS staff to use when it reopens.

Barrie said, “It’s so important, now more than ever, to show our appreciation to all the NHS staff who work day and night to keep the community safe and healthy. We hope our rainbow windows help people to feel hopeful in this frightening time and bring a smile to hospital employees as they travel to work each day.”

The rainbow window displays were created and installed by Rise and Signs, a sign and mural company based in Nottingham.
