The Inspiration
This season, the Kenzo A/W20 collection saw monochromatic hues and wintery patterns take the runway by storm. The ghd session team, led by Anthony Turner, worked to create a look that reflected the ‘nomadic’ and ‘futuristic’ feel behind the collection, by creating glossy dishevelled waves that were set in place with the new ghd helios professional hairdryer.
The Hair
“This season, we wanted to create a ‘perfectly imperfect’ final look, that resembled hair that had been in strong winds or dishevelled from standing at the edge of a cliff. Texture, movement and a glossy finish were therefore the key elements behind the final look.”-Anthony Turner, using ghd backstage.
Get The Look
1. Apply Sea Salt Spray and dry hair using ghd helios professional hairdryer (£159)
2. For added texture, ensure to scrunch the hair whilst drying
3. Create a middle parting by separating two central strands of hair (2.5cm approx each) and secure behind the ears with an elastic band
4. Using the ghd curve classic tong (£129), wrap the loose strands of hair irregularly around the tong to create a textured and loose wave.
