There are many books to read, but I love photographic books. I find them very inspiring and it allows me to get to know many photographers, artists and other subjects in my life. One of my favourites is The Complete Paintings and Drawings of Leonardo De Vinci. Every time I look at this book, I am fascinated. I prefer visual books and this is one of the most beautiful.
BEST ARTIST – Leonardo De Vinci
He started everything from drawings. He was an inventor, a scientist, an engineer, an architect, and an artist. To me, he was a true genius because his work still influences people today. He created one of the world’s best paintings, the Mona Lisa in the Louvre.
BEST FILM- Avatar
It’s super innovative as a generic way of making a film. Avatar turned digital movies upside down and blew my mind. It captured my attention and I was plugged in from start to finish.
BEST SOUND – Hip Hop
I like all kinds of hip hop and rap; I find it captivating. I enjoy listening to it because it brings a strong energy. I like nineties rap like Tupac. Also, at the moment I’m enjoying my son Calabria on itunes who does a very good rap.
BEST PODCAST – Ted Talks Daily
This podcast really gets me thinking. It’s good to learn something new about the world every day, and I like the short snippets because they fit into a busy schedule. I recently listened to one about sustainable housing which was super interesting: Vishaan Chakrabarti –A vision of sustainable housing for all of humanity.
