GET THE LOOK | Victoria Beckham’s Textured Tresses

September 23, 2021

British professional hair-styling tool brand ghd, has partnered with iconic British fashion designer Victoria Beckham to create TEXTURED TRESSES.

The hair is inspired by natural style and textures that embraces the uncomplicated, elegantly undone to reflect the collection and its inspiration. The trend-led look will be unveiled at the Victoria Beckham SS22 digital LFW show on Tuesday 21st September. The show must go on – and another season of restrictions in no way limited the creativity levels backstage at the Victoria Beckham SS22 digital LFW show. In partnership with ghd, session stylist Cyndia Harvey and her team worked, masked-up, and created a hair look that is sure to set your hands reaching for the ghd bodyguard heat protect spray and the NEW ground-breaking ghd unplugged styler.

“The TEXTURED TRESSES hair look this season was inspired by individuality and uniqueness. I like the idea of an array of different styles and structures with effortless shaping; hair that looks  like it’s been slept in a bit, with a bend in it as well. Plus, with the ghd unplugged styler capturing the ultimate on-the-go styling, I love how this look can be achieved anywhere, anytime. Working with ghd backstage, using the ghd bodyguard heat protect spray and the ghd unplugged styler allowed Cyndia and her team to create the look I wanted. We were able to celebrate a wide variety of hair types and textures, and there was no way we could have achieved the final vision without Cyndia Harvey and ghd’’ says Victoria Beckham.

PREP
“To achieve the look today we started out prepping the hair with ghd body goals, it gives the look a bit of grit. I also use ghd bodyguard heat protect spray to create the perfect protection to ensure the hair doesn’t get damaged.”

DRY
“I blow dry that in with the ghd Helios professional hairdryer to dry the styling products into the hair and give the hair a shiny finish overall.”

STYLE
“I used the ghd unplugged , which is such a versatile tool, to add a waved motion in the hair and give it a little bit of texture, yet still with a healthy shine all while in keeping with the individual nature of the hair strands. I didn’t use the styler to smooth the hair, but instead to give it a little bit of a bend and shape and to promote natural movement.’’

“To finish I add the ghd shiny ever after spray which gives the natural oils in the hair the extra umph it needs to glow. Normally, you might want to use the shiny ever after to enhance what’s already there, but what I have found is it also gives a good day after the night before look, which is a bit worn in, cooler and a bit surfer-y, and I really enjoy that.”
