F&M Hairdressing’s Creative Director Celebrates 40th Anniversary in Hairdressing

July 31, 2020

With lockdown coming to an end and Scottish salons opening on July 15th, it’s a double celebration for Barrhead’s F&M Hairdressing. Creative Director Kevin Paul Finnell is celebrating his 40th year in the hairdressing industry, a fantastic achievemnet for the Glasgow born stylist.

Beginning his career in a local salon in the early 1980’s Kevin sought a career in hairdressing by chance, originally wanting to become an actor. After joining the team in Barrhead, Kevin’s passion for hairdressing grew, specifically within creative cutting.

Fast forward a few years and Kevin’s career had continued to progress, and he worked within three prestigious salons in both Glasgow and Bournemouth, gaining vital experience and continuously building on his skills and techniques. Kevin took the risk to move back to Glasgow having met Co-Founder Brian, and the pair opened F&M Hairdressing in 2001 and the rest they say is history.

Kevin prides himself on offering his clients exceptional quality and service when it comes to both cut and colour services.

Describing his career in the industry, Kevin explains, “I can’t believe it’s been 40 years since I became part of this incredible industry. By chance I fell into this career and it has given me to many amazing opportunities throughout the journey and I simply love what I do. I’ve met so many incredible individuals along the way and have a fantastic team behind me in the salon. Here’s to the next 40!”
