“We can all agree that Margot Robbie has attended every premiere looking undeniably classy. The harmony that has been repeatedly created between the actress’s hair and the film’s overall aesthetic is incredible; Barbie represents a flawless doll, and so does her hair. My personal favourite of her premiere looks was the ponytail; I love the way the perfection and sleekness through the front sits with the big, bouncy ponytail behind. It may be high-maintenance and time-consuming to create, but it certainly fits the Barbie theme perfectly!”

In true Barbie character, Margot’s high ponytail here almost has a waxy touch to it! To recreate this effect, you want to use products that will help to shape and mould the hair, before blow-drying the roots towards the base of the ponytail – this technique helps to avoid any unwanted bumps too. The tail can then be gently curled with a tong and something like L’Oréal Professionel Tecni.Art Super Dust to create further volume. For the fringe section, backcomb the hair for more root lift and place the piece wherever suits the model’s head shape best. Don’t forget, hiding the hairband with a small section of hair will give this look the perfect finish!

At the premiere in Seoul, Margot wore a very classic seamless wave with a deep side parting. To perfect the sleekness of this look, ensure you use a lot of moulding products and heated curlers. You then want to gently brush out the waves, before finishing with hairspray.

In comparison to the classic wave, this beach-wave look from the Mexican premiere is much more relaxed and fun. To create this strong wave pattern, you want to take smaller individual sections through waver irons. For the full Barbie-inspired wave look, I would also recommend adding some extensions to provide extra length. Finish the look off with some texture spray to create further volume and texture.

At the London premiere last week, the iconic actress floated down the red carpet every part the classic Hollywood Starlet. The best way to recreate this effortless updo is to texturise, texturise, texturise. Leaving the fringe to one side, create two ponytails above one another, then twist them around each other and secure. For extra volume, dishevel the bun with your fingers. Finally, release the fringe and softly blow-dry to create a softness round the face.
