Adee Pheland and Iain Ward are Raising Money for Mental Health and Cancer Treatment. On the 5th of January 2023, celebrity hairdresser Adee Phelan and record-breaking charity fundraiser Iain Ward will be travelling a total of 3,000 miles from New York to LA, to raise funds for two charities. The journey will comprise of walking and cycling across eight states and three time zones, and will be filmed by a camera crew for a future documentary. To increase publicity for the fundraiser, the duo will also be joined by various celebrities along the way.
Adee and Iain will be donating the funds they raise to two causes close to their hearts. Firstly, having battled with depression for over 30 years, Adee has chosen to support the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), a mental health charity that offers a free, confidential helpline to anyone suffering with their wellbeing. Secondly, Iain – who is living with a terminal brain tumour and, over two years ago, was given an estimated five years left to live– is raising his funds for the Marina Dalglish Cancer Foundation, to support cancer research and treatment. On top of this, the duo will wear t-shirts featuring a different, real-life battle with Cancer for each day of the expedition.
Adee and Iain are looking for brands that can offer sponsorship in order to fund their journey and help them raise the most amount of money as possible. In return for sponsorship or product donation, the pair are offering promotion through company branding of items such as the bikes, tour bus and clothing. They are also looking for brands with a large following and active social media status who can help to promote the fundraiser to the general public.
