Session stylists and co-founder of hairdotcom, Ashleigh Hodges has been appointed as the Chair of the newly-formed Junior Council of young hairdressers. She and the team, Tegan Robertson from Tutti Fruitti, London; Jamie Williams, Bauhaus, Cardiff; Ellie Holehouse, Objet D’art, Manchester; Jessica Hill, Stag Barbers, Manchester; Niall McNulty, YK Hair and Beauty, Nottingham and Natalia Antypa, Hair by Jones, Monmouth, will be spreading the word about State Registration and raising perceptions and standards of hairdressing and barbering.

Ashleigh added: “I am so excited to be heading up the Junior Council. The professionalism of our industry has always been so important to me and I’ve been a huge supporter of the Hair and Barber Council’s cause since I qualified. It’s even more crucial for us to get this message out to the new generation of hairdressers and barbers. That’s why I’m so excited to really push this and get the new generations voices heard, as well as get the need for regulation out to the next generation. The team are a great bunch and I really believe we can help push this forward together.”
