All new R.EV Club Revlon

Do you have the passion and potential to be the next rising star of British Hairdressing? Do you want to develop the ability to produce a first class photographic collection? Do you want to gain more confidence in presenting yourself and your work in front of an audience?

The brand new R.EV Club Revlon from Revlon Professional is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be mentored by Mark Leeson and to take part in a photoshoot with acclaimed photographer Richard Miles. You’ll be taken on an incredible creative journey that will evolve your artistic skills, push your creative boundaries and grow your technical talent…as raise the profile of your salon programme.

 

How to enter:

Step 1. Each applicant will need to submit a fashion forward picture of a hair model that shows a great haircut and colour with the Revlonissimo hair colour porfolio. Pictures can be taken with a mobile device and sent to nick.riley@revlon.com and karen.thomas@revlon.com.

Step 2. The finalists will be notified and invited to the finals to recreate their look at the Revlon Professional Brands Academy in Leeds.

Step 3. The finalists will need to present their model, the look and a two minute presentation in front of a panel of judges.

Step 4. Six of the finalists will be chosen and invited onto the Revlon Evolution Team (R.ev).

 

What you need to know: 

10th March: Closing date for all applications

11th March: Application Judging

1st April: (Auditions and Selections for R.ev Team)

29th April: Cut – Perfect the fundamentals of cutting and how to fine tune commercial everyday salon looks fused with new techniques to get you ahead of the game.

3rd June: Create – Advanced cutting techniques including deconstruct and razor skills, all of which are essential for stand out photographic and editorial work.

1st July: Paint – Learn correct colour placement and how to fuse colour within a haircut on current fashion trends which are influencing the hair colour scene with new exciting techniques.

2nd July: Showcase0 – Everything you need to know about prep work, techniques for live shows and tips on how to prepare for fashion editorial shoots to help evolve you from a salon stylist to an adaptable platform artist.

5th August: Project – Learn how to build your confidence so that you can speak comfortably in front of an audience, get advice on how to control your nerves on stage and learn how to work in the correct way with your model.

2nd-3rd September: Capture –  This is an opportunity to use the techniques learnt on the course to produce an amazing image that showcases your personal skills. You will enjoy the incredible experience of working with an internationally renowned photographer and Mark Leeson who will guide you with art direction.
