Adam Reed Launches Arkive Education

May 03, 2024

The newly formed Adam Reed Arkive Education team recently hosted an incredible night of education at Arkive by Adam Reed in Covent Garden. The evening was the culmination of nine months of planning by Andrew Plester – Director of Education at Arkive by Adam Reed – to introduce one of the most creative combined forces in the hair world, known collectively as ‘The Arkitects’.

Headed up by Andrew Plester, the dynamic education team brings together the talents of John Spanton, Sam Bickle, Janet Barone, Luke Logan and of course, Adam Reed himself. Explaining the concept behind the launch, Adam explains: “Our wonderful Director of Education, Andrew, has created this education programme for hairdressers to come and learn how ‘we do hair’. With a history of sharing knowledge, our team are anything but gatekeepers, in fact, we want to make our tricks and techniques accessible to everyone. We want to change the face and pace of learning.”

Andrew adds, The Arkitects is an amalgamation of great talents. We’ll be offering a mix of structured and unstructured learning from core, classic cuts to more creative courses. Sharing knowledge is powerful. I’ve got a strong background in stage work and education, and I’ve been lucky to have been around great people so far in my career. This takes it to the next level.

As well as launching Arkive Education on the night, there were also exclusive launch prices available for the courses. All proceeds from the evening were donated to Haircuts4Homeless, a charity that Adam and his team proudly support. Guests were treated to goodie bags and the event was supported by L’Oréal Professionnel, Akito Scissors, Equip the Creative and Arkive Haircare.

Arkive Education kicks off with two courses: Core Men’s with Andrew Plester on 27th May and Core Classic Cut & Colour with John Spanton and Andrew Plester on 23rd June.
