Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie looked as impeccable as always at this year’s Golden Globes, with hair draped to the back with effortless, bouncy curls paired with lots of shine – a polished look good enough for Barbie herself! To create this in the salon, I would firstly prep the hair, washing with a conditioning shampoo and conditioner to ensure the hair looks as moisturised as possible. Next, I would work the KMS Moist Repair Revival Creme through towel-dried hair, before blow-drying and curling with a large barrel tong to create movement. I recommend pinning these curls into place, allowing them to cool and set before removing the pins for ultimate bounce. Always brush the hair gently using a wide-tooth comb to break up the curls, before lightly scrunching a hair oil like KMS Moist Repair Hydrating to give a further final gloss. Finish by misting through a small amount of setting spray like KMS Thermashape to hold the style in place. – Tina Farey, Editorial Director at RUSH
Billie Eilish

I loved Billie Eilish’s unique look at this year’s Golden Globes. She sported a more low-key, slicked-back bun with hair poking out – also referred to as the ‘off-duty model bun’ or the ‘snatched bun’ – and paired this with a two-toned pillar box red hair colour on her dark base for an edgy, statement look. When creating this look, using a product that will tame all flyaways and provide the hair with a strong hold is key. Schwarzkopf Osis+ Rock Hard is one of my favourites for this style, which I use alongside a narrow dressing hairbrush/backcombing brush to brush the hair back off the face, picking up all flyaways to create the slicked-back look. Once you’ve created a high ponytail at the back of the head with an elastic, twist and pin your bun into place – leaving out around two inches of hair. Finish by misting through some Schwarzkopf Professional Osis+ Sparkler Shine Spray for that final, much-needed shine. – Suzie McGill, Artistic Director at Rainbow Room International
Emma Stone

Emma Stone showcased a beautiful new hair look at this year’s Golden Globes and I was obsessed! Her bob cut was shorter, enhancing her gorgeous red hair colour, and teamed with flicked-out hair styling that took inspiration from the 1950s/1960s. When creating this look, I would firstly start by washing the hair with a nourishing shampoo and conditioner, before applying a volumising spray such as Goldwell StyleSign Ultra Volume Soft Volumiser Blow-Dry Spray into damp hair and blow-drying smoothly with a hair dryer and round brush. To create the flipped ends, use a heated styling iron to smooth over the hair, bending around three inches from the ends. Finish with Goldwell Style Sign Perfect Hold to give the hair a lightweight hold and intense shine. – Brian Leo McCallum, Owner of ROAR Hair & Beauty
Kate Beckinsale

This is definitely my favourite look from the Golden Globes, Kate looked absolutely stunning on the red carpet! Wearing a sheer sequin dress, the theme was high glamour and her elegant high ponytail matched this perfectly, complete with high shine and small velvet bows to accessorise. Working to a middle parting, the hair was sectioned, leaving the fringe loose and the rest of the hair styled into a high ponytail, secured at the crown. When creating the ponytail, you want the hair to be as smooth and slick as possible. I recommend using a large barrel tong to create the wave look, keeping this big and voluminous! Once cool, gently brush the ponytail out using a soft bristle brush and a professional shine spray to finish. – Tracey Ann Smith, Midlands Hairdresser of the Year 2024.
Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift oozed old Hollywood glamour at the Golden Globes, with a beautiful, voluminous wave and gorgeous statement fringe, both complementing her gorgeous green Gucci dress. To recreate this look, I would begin by washing the hair with K-Pak Clarifying Shampoo and Conditioner, this really gets rid of any leftover products and leaves the hair feeling fresh and ready for the big event. Next, when the hair is 80% dry, use a small amount of the Dream Blowout Thermal Protection Spray, distributing from roots to ends – this not only gives hair an added boost, it also leaves a barrier of protection on the hair. When drying, use a large barrel brush and focus heat at the root to encourage lift and volume. Next, split the hair into sections and use an extra-large barrel tong, tonging inwards to give the most effortless-looking waves. Once tonged and cooled, brush out and finish with a light-hold hairspray, such as JOICO Flip Turn, to keep hair in check whilst allowing free-flowing movement. – Bruno Marc Giamattei, JOICO EMEA Creative Director
