Our biggest and most exciting news this month is definitely Russell Eaton salons being announced as finalists in the Salon Business Awards for both the Creative Salon category and the Colour Salon category. We are incredibly proud to be recognised as the top in these categories as both creative work and colour are a strong part of our brand identity.
On top of that, we also found out that I have been finalised for the Colour Expert award in the Most Wanted Awards. I am honoured to be a finalist as colour is a true passion of mine. Fingers crossed for the results in the next few months.
Along with our award wins, this month has been packed with education and amazing courses and seminars for both Wella and our salons.
I attended a Wella colour club meeting which was, as always, a wonderful experience. I love meeting up with them and finding out about the latest product innovations from Wella. There are lots of exciting things to come over the next year.
This month I also spent a lot of time in Ireland, predominantly based in Galway running in-salon education days for Wella. I visited two wonderful salons and it was terrific to meet everyone and see all the talent and creativity within the teams. I find that education can be inspiring for both myself and the trainees. While in Ireland I also completed the shoot with Wella Style Council. The results look spectacular and I can’t wait for everyone to see them!
As a brand we also work closely with The Fellowship, and myself and Jodie Palmer, senior stylist at Russell Eaton Leeds, have been working on a show for The Fellowship based in Leeds. I’m very passionate about this show as it will be great to work on a show in Yorkshire and it’s wonderful to see The Fellowship continue to do more events and shows in the North and show the talent that is in the area.
Speaking of talent, my beautiful daughter Pearl is doing really well and is developing a wonderful character of her own every day. She has recently enjoyed her first trip to the salon, we thought we would get her in the salon from an early age, time will only tell if the family heritage of hairdressing will continue!
