What a busy month this has been!

I’ve been in and out of airports, flying to wonderful destinations to present hair education courses and judge hair competitions. Additionally, I’ve just started training for an autumn marathon after my spring London marathon run and trying to buy a new London flat! It’s all been happening!

Part of my extensive travelling this month has been focused on the amazing international flagship Urban Retreat salon in Beirut, Lebanon. I mentioned last month that our Artistic and Technical Director Tracey Gallagher was out there helping with the training of the new team and I’ve currently been over there also helping build the business. It is such an incredible experience.

Last month I mentioned that as part of my work as Creative Director for legendary hair extension brand Racoon, I was helping create concepts for a gorgeous campaign for the brands 21st birthday. This month we have put our ideas into action and along with photographer Jack Eames and the Racoon Artistic Team we have created a gorgeous campaign that show cases the artistry and appeal of hair extensions.

Being Creative Director means the buck lies with me for the imagery that is created and we wanted to create a collection that screamed “I want that hair”, that’s always the start point for me. For Racoon it was all about creating sexy, gorgeous abundant hair that any woman would want. I’m also a Global Ambassador for Affinage and adore the products so it was no surprise that I called in some of the Affinage styling products to use on the shoot too. I think we have certainly created a campaign that does just that. You’ll have to let me know what you think!


Andrew’s latest ‘No Weight Hydrate’ collection

Not only do I have these two amazing roles with Urban Retreat and Raccoon, along with being an Affinage Global Ambassador, I also have my very own product range. Eight years ago I launched my first signature consumer hair care range exclusively at Asda and I’m delighted that over the years the range successfully grew to five collections for different hair types. This month was exceptional as it saw the launch of my sixth collection “No Weight Hydrate”. The collection has been designed to care for hair with dual problems such as oily roots and dry ends, perfect for highlighted and ombre hair. I’ve been working closely with the scientists for two years to get the formula absolutely perfect. Blended with coconut oil it’s a beauty product that gives hair shine and control. Next month I will be visiting loads of Asda stores nationwide as part of my “Style In The Aisles” tour where I get to meet customers and show case my brand. I hope I can meet lots of you there.
