This month kicked off with a wonderful start as I was awarded the Honorary Ambassador Award by the Hair Council for all my support to this great cause. I’m so proud to be involved in something that is so important in our industry.

One of the most amazing aspects of my job is that I get to work with many great hairdressing super brands such as Racoon hair extensions, Urban Retreat at Harrods and Affinage Salon Professional. Working with so many brands keeps my job fun, creative and diverse and every month I get to be involved in a variety of terrific projects.

Andrew is the Creative Director at Racoon

I am Creative Director at Racoon and part of my role is to represent the brand at events and in the media but also to work with the business on innovation and to lead the Artistic team. Every few months the team and I meet and share our creative energies, view trends and unite as a team to create inspiring projects. This month we were working together on the concept of the brands soon to be launched signature campaign celebrating 21 years of the brands success.

My role at Urban Retreat in Harrods as Creative Director has been particularly exciting this month also as I’ve been working hard on our latest venture at Urban Retreat in Beirut, Lebanon. The Urban Retreat in Beirut is housed in the very up market Aishti by the Sea, a newly opened department store home to luxury brands like Versace, Armani, and Prada. Tracey Gallagher, Urban Retreat’s Artistic and Technical Director spent a week there this month induction training the first hair team and sharing our signature best practice and we are all so excited about this next step for the company.

On top of this, we are also working hard at Urban Retreat, focusing on Christmas! This month I was in the studio creating the Urban Retreat Christmas campaign, which we will be sharing with the press and media at a Christmas in July event. Keep your eyes peeled next month for my blog updating you with more exciting news on that.

For Affinage I have been kept busy working on the new Affinage Education collection book where myself and Tracey Devine work our magic demonstrating the amazing Affinage products and how to achieve fabulous looks. The book will be coming soon, and I can tell you already that it is amazing and I can’t wait for everyone to see it.
